Pair of Chinese Bronze Mounted Rose Mandarin Porcelain Lamps


Pair Chinese rose Mandarin pattern porcelain vases lamps and covers with bronze mounts to base, mid section and bronze top stem for use as oil lamps now drilled and refitted with electric light bulb branches. Rose Mandarin is a more formalized pattern that depicts Chinese figures in domestic or courtly scenes pursuing leisure activities. In this design peaches are incorporated, they are considered a blessed fruit: a symbol of longevity and immortality, also there are butterflies: symbols of freedom, conjugal love, beauty and soul.
